Is it possible for a dog to have ADHD?

Lani asked:

I have 6 dogs and one of them just seems to have so much more energy than the others. She is constantly on the go and when she tires herself out she will just drop where she stands and go to sleep for a bit. I’m wondering if it is possible for a dog to have ADHD and if so is there a treatment for it?

If she literally “drops where she stands and goes to sleep” there might indeed be something going on. Narcolepsy? Thyroid? Something else??

I would bring her to the vet for an evaluation.
